We, Marco and Christian Tidona, are brothers and we are both serial entrepreneurs in the IT and biotech space. In 2005 we had the idea to create a new type of search engine that automatically collects all you need to know about a certain field of interest - in our case life sciences - from important online databases around the globe on a daily basis. We called our project LSIS - Life Science Information System.
At LSIS, all records undergo a strict quality control process e.g. for relevance, uniqueness and language before they are added to our highly sophisticated life science index - meanwhile many thousand records per day. We also designed a new kind of query frontend which provides a completely new user experience.

In general, our system can be adapted to any field of interest and any environment, where it is important to integrate large amounts of data from a network of heterogeneous online databases on a daily basis and to provide this knowledge with an easy-to-use web interface to a defined user group (e.g. knowledge integration and management in global corporations).
