Cytotoxic fusion proteins for tumor therapy are composed of an antibody-based targeting moiety and an effector molecule. Effectors may possess enzymatic activity confering cytoxicity after internalization or be an antibody-targeted death-receptor ligand that induces apoptosis after interaction with a death receptor. In this review, we focus on cytotoxic fusion proteins which, in most cases, are composed of fully human targeting and effector moieties. The performance of three line blot assays (LBA) - Linear Array HPV genotyping assay (LA; Roche Diagnostics), INNO-LiPA HPV Genotyping Extra (LiPA; Innogenetics) and the Reverse Hybridization assay (RH; Qiagen) was evaluated using quantitated whole genomic HPV plasmids (types 6, 11, 16, 18, 31, 33, 35, 39, 51, 52, 56, 58, 59, 68b) as well as epidemiologic samples. In a plasmid titration series LiPA and RH did not detect 50 international units (IU) of HPV 18 in the presence of 5 Ã 10(4) or more (…)text/htmlhttp://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.govNCBI PubMed14.02.2012 | NCBI PubMed: Analytical and clinical comparison of anti-CCP assays with rheumatoid factor for the diagnosis of rheumatoid arthritis.

INTRODUCTION: Rheumatoid arthritis (RA) is an inflammatory autoimmune disease characterized by chronic joint inflammation and extra-articular manifestations, eventually leading to permanent disability without early therapeutic interventions. METHODS: The analytical and clinical performance of an electrochemiluminescent immunoassay (ECLIA) (Roche Diagnostics, Indianapolis, IN) were determined for cyclic citrullinated peptide antibodies (anti-CCP) in the diagnostic assessment of rheumatoid (…)text/htmlhttp://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.govNCBI PubMed01.01.2012 | NCBI PubMed: MRSA surveillance: how to get the most value out of your program.
